Project Overview
Create a 12-page brochure to teach a set of young art students about the different print processes.
Concept:
When we think about colors, sometimes we associate colors with scents, like pink tastes like strawberry while blue tastes like blueberry. Of course the association is subjective to each person’s memory and story. So I want to use Pantone color of the year, and how people relate colors to their ideal scent in imagination.
Synesthesia:
"Researchers find that synesthesia is an extraordinary phenomenon where a sensation in one of the senses, such as hearing, triggers a sensation in another, such as taste. Odor-color synesthesia is more unique, with only 6% of people with synesthesia having visual experiences when they smell odors. It aimed to find commonalities in how we think about smell, visually. Colors have now been scientifically proven to have the same links to certain smells on a global scale, which means there’s something happening on a neurological level. Follow this book, to find your perfect scent with Pantone color of the year."
